Recalibrated So Your Safety Systems Read the Road Correctly
Lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking read the road through a camera mounted to the windshield. Replace the glass and that camera moves. Recalibration is what tells the system where it is now pointing, and without it the car can be confidently wrong about where the lane is.
Why a New Windshield Means a New Calibration
The camera is aimed through a specific part of the glass at a specific angle. A replacement windshield sits in the same opening but not in exactly the same place, to a tolerance far tighter than the eye can see. The systems that steer, brake and follow traffic for you are working from that aim.
Which Vehicles Need It
If your car has lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control or automatic emergency braking, it needs recalibrating after a windshield replacement. If you are not sure what your vehicle has, tell us the year, make and model and we will tell you.
Static and Dynamic Procedures
Some vehicles calibrate against targets set at measured distances in a controlled space; others need a road drive at a steady speed on clearly marked lanes; some need both. The manufacturer decides which, not the shop. We will tell you which one your vehicle calls for when you book.

Your Choice of Shop
WAC 284-30-390 bars an insurer from requiring a particular facility. You cannot be penalized for choosing an independent shop.
ADAS Recalibration
Lane departure warning, adaptive cruise and automatic emergency braking read through the windshield, so those systems are recalibrated after a replacement.
30-Mile Service Radius
We cover a 30-mile radius from the Spokane Valley shop. Outside that zone, call anyway and we will make exceptions where we can.
Repair Before Replacing
If the chip is smaller than a quarter, the crack runs under about three inches and it sits outside the driver's line of sight, a resin repair is faster and cheaper.

FAQs
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Don’t see yours? Call (509) 892-6699 and ask directly.
How do I know if my car needs ADAS calibration?
If it has lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control or automatic emergency braking, it needs recalibrating after a windshield replacement. Tell us the year, make and model and we will confirm it.
What happens if the calibration is skipped?
The systems keep running against an aim that is no longer correct. A lane keep assist that thinks the lane is slightly to one side, or emergency braking that reads distance wrongly, is worse than one that is switched off.
Is calibration covered by insurance?
It is part of a comprehensive glass claim where the vehicle requires it. We bill your carrier directly along with the glass work.
Can calibration be done mobile?
It depends on the procedure the manufacturer specifies. A dynamic calibration is a road drive; a static one needs targets at measured distances on level ground, which usually means the shop. We will tell you which applies when you book.
